Selkirk RCMP quickly found two dangerous drivers after a caller to 911 reported them and updated police to their location.

On June 6, 2020, the caller spotted a vehicle driving in a dangerous manner. The vehicle was swerving all over the road and at one point stopped to switch drivers.

A 38-year-old male driver and a 33-year-old male passenger, both from Winnipeg, were arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Impaired Operation with a blood alcohol concentration that is equal to or exceeds 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, along with Provincial Fines under the Highway Traffic Act and the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Act.

RCMP say that the incident could have turned out tragically had it not been for the caller reporting it.
