Manitoba extends state of emergency for 30 days

Manitoba announced on Friday, May 15, 2020, that they are extending the provincewide state of emergency for an additional 30 days.

A state of emergency allows the government to take quick action during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The state of emergency was put in place on March 20, 2020, under the powers od the Emergency Measures Act. It was extended on April 20th.

The new extension will come into force on May 17, 2020 and expire on June 15, 2020 if it is not extended again.
