Three overnight fires within two hours under investigation

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is investigating three overnight fires that happened within two hours of each other.

Around 2:00 am on Monday, January 20, 2020, crews responded to a single storey home. When they arrived at the residence on Rupertsland Boulevard they found smoke coming from the structure.

An offensive attack was launched and the fire was out within the hour.

The second fire happened in a multi-family building on Mapleridge Avenue around 3:20 am.

When crews arrived light smoke was wafting from the structure. The fire was brought under control very quickly.

Everyone inside the building had got out before emergency crews arrived.

The third fire happened in a two-and-a-half storey home on Spence Street just before 4:00 am.

Firefighters helped one person out of the building. The fire was out within 20 minutes of crews arriving on scene.

All three fires are under investigation.
