A 31-year-old female is behind bars after she allegedly stabbed a 23-year-old male early sunday morning, June 30, 2019.
Police say they were called to the 3100 block of Pembina Highway for the report of an injured male.
When officers arrived they found the victim suffering from upper body injuries consistent with being stabbed. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Investigators say the victim became involved in an argument with the suspect, who he knew. The argument escalated to the point that the female armed herself with a knife and eventually stabbed the victim.
Police have not named the suspect but have charged he with Aggravated Assault and Fail to Comply with Recognizance.
