Winnipeg Police have a 34-year-old male in custody after police found a male in his 50s suffering from a stab wound.

Around 8:45 pm officers responded to a report of a street fight near Sherbrook Street and Sara Avenue. When they arrived they found the victim and began first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.

Police say the suspect has been arrested but charges have yet to be laid.

Investigators are looking for the driver of a white SUV that had stopped and offered help to the victims.
