Suspect wanted for drug trafficking is caught with more drugs

Winnipeg Police have arrested an alleged drug trafficker wanted on an outstanding warrant after police found about 132 grams of methamphetamine, as well as crack cocaine, oxycodone, carfentanil, heroin, powdered fentanyl and other unidentified drugs, were seized from a vehicle.

Investigators say they arrested the suspect in the 500 block of Redwood Avenue on Saturday, June 16, 2018, on the outstanding warrant. At the time of his arrest, he had $1,200 in cash in his possession. Officers also found a bag belonging to the suspect in a taxi waiting nearby.

The bag contained meth, Marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, an unknown brown powder, packaging material and a digital scale.

Ronald Brian Jackson, 30 form Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Marihuana
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Fail to Comply with Probation
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

Jackson was detained in custody.
