Traffic stop ends in drug bust and three people charged

Just before 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2017, police observed a suspicious vehicle in the West End.

A traffic stop was performed in the 500 block of Balmoral Street and three people were arrested for drug-related offences. Officers seized a number of  drugs, cash and trafficking paraphernalia including:

  • 47 grams of Methamphetamine (valued at approximately $5,100).
  • 10 grams of Heroin (valued at approximately $4,000).
  • 23 pills of pressed Fentanyl designed to look like 80mg Oxycontin pills (valued at approximately $1,800)
  • 2 cell-phones
  • 2 digital scales and various drug-related packaging materials.
  • Approximately $500 in Canadian currency.

Robert Trevor Lander, a 41-year-old male from Winnipeg, Annette Lucy Letendre, a 40-year-old female from Winnipeg and A 38-year-old male from Elie, Manitoba face the following charges:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamin
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

 

Lander also faces an additional charge of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Lander and Letendre were detained in custody. The 38-year-old male was released on a promise to appear in court.
