One dead in fatal early morning motorcycle collision

Winnipeg Police are investigating a fatal collision that happened in the early morning hours of October 7, 2017, near London Street and Amelia Cr.

Investigators say that a 29-year-old male was driving a motorcycle northbound on London Street when he lost control of the bike and crashed.

Leyland McDougal was not wearing a helmet and sustained critical injuries in the crash. He was taken to hospital in critical condition but died from his injuries soon afterwards.

Police were notified shortly after the collision by a passerby.

Winnipeg Police Central Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.
