Three in custody after police seize drugs and weapons in home on Kate Street

Weapons and drugs were seized and three people were arrested by Winnipeg Police after they executed a warrant to search a home in the first 100 block of Kate Street on Thursday, September 14, 2017.
As officers searched they found a sawed-off .410 bore shotgun with ammunition, a can of bear spray (Pepper Spray), a Machette, an undisclosed amount of cash and 27.9 grams of methamphetamine
Police say the street value of the drugs is around $4,000.00
Valentina Margaret Monkman, a 27-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged for her alleged involvement with a number of drug, weapon, fraud and forgery offences.
 Joseph Bernard Richard, a 20-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with a number of offences for his alleged involvement including Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, Possession of a Weapon (x3), Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized as well as property and compliance offences.
Markus Jason Schinkel, a 47-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice
  • Warrant (Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice)
  • Warrant (Fail to Appear – Promise to Appear)
All three were detained in custody.
