A former health employee had inappropriately accessed the personal health information of 197 people including names, addresses and dates of birth according to a Manitoba Health internal investigation.
Manitoba Health said that the employee did not have access to information regarding medical procedures, doctor visits, prescribed drugs or hospitalizations.
The area of the health care system the former employee worked for was not released.
Manitoba Health has said they have contacted the Manitoba Ombudsman regarding the breach.
