BUSINESS | MCDONALD’S TRANSFORMS BRAND, CREATES 435 NEW LOCAL JOBS

McDonald’s restaurants in Manitoba have introduced the “restaurant experience” as part of its brand transformation. The golden arches have evolved its menu, ordering processes and employee roles with the addition of self-order kiosks to provide customers with a more personalized and customizable dining experience.

It is estimated that this new approach will create 435 jobs in 29 restaurants across Manitoba.

“From crew members to restaurant managers to franchisees, we’re ready to introduce Manitobans to our Create Your Taste burger concept and our new Restaurant Experience of the Future,”  said Shelly Hansen, Western Regional Vice President, McDonald’s Canada.

Using self-order kiosks, customers will be able to select from a menu of items that include two types of buns or a lettuce wrap, five types of cheese, 12 toppings, including guacamole, caramelized onions and hickory-smoked bacon strips, and nine sauces.
