911 issues for some Bell MTS cellular customers

Winnipeg Police are warning those with Bell MTS cell phones that some customers are unable to connect when trying to contact 911.

Due to an issue with the cell network some customers are experiencing intermittent issues contacting 911.

Police are advising that BellMYS users either use a landline or a different cell network when attempting to reach the emergency number.

Bell MTS said they are looking into the issue.

Just before 3:00 pm Winnipeg Police reported the issue with the cellular network had been resolved.
