RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner are investigating after an 88-year-old male died in a house fire in the RM of Springfield.
Emergency crews were called to the scene after the homeowner called 911 to report a chimney fire.
When crews arrived they found the male unresponsive inside the home.
Emergency responders were unable to revive the victim and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy has been ordered.
