809 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified since Friday, 276 cases on Saturday, Dec. 18; 333 cases on Sunday, Dec. 19; and 200 cases today. Public health officials report that six people died from the virus over the weekend
The current provincial COVID-19 test positivity rate is 8.1 per cent.
Of the 200 cases identified in the province today, 75 are people who are not fully vaccinated and 125 of those who are fully vaccinated.
There are 2,183 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. 137 people are in hospital due to COVID-19 including 51 patients being treated in ICU.
Nine new cases of the Omicron variant were detected in the province for a total of 17.
2,285 lab tests were taken yesterday. That brings the total number of COVID-19 tests completed in the province since February 2020 to 1,233,761.
The total number of people who died from the virus in Manitoba is 1,366.
