Winnipeg Police investigators are looking for witnesses after a 76-year-old woman was brutally assaulted on Friday, August 7, 2020.
According to police, the victim had been out for a walk in the 200 block of Pacific Avenue when she was assaulted by two suspects. Shortly after the initial assault the suspects returned and assaulted the woman a second time while she was still on the ground from the first assault.

The victim spent more than two and a half hours on the ground before someone called for help.
She was taken to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
Investigators say they believe that there may be people who witnessed the incident who can help to locate the people responsible for the attack. Anyone who was in the area between 5:10 am and 7:40 am is asked to contact police at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-8477.
