742 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified today. Public health officials are reporting one death related to the virus today.
The current provincial COVID-19 test positivity rate is 12.6 per cent.
Of the cases identified in the province today, 107 are people who are not fully vaccinated and 635 of those who are fully vaccinated.
There are 3,626 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. 135 people are in hospital due to COVID-19 including 24 patients being treated in ICU.
Four additional cases of the Omicron variant were identified bringing the total in Manitoba to 22 cases.
4,657 lab tests were taken yesterday. That brings the total number of COVID-19 tests completed in the province since February 2020 to 1,249,348.
The total number of people who died from the virus in Manitoba is 1,370.
Outbreaks have been declared at West Park Manor personal care home, Winnipeg and Heritage Lodge personal care home, Winnipeg
The province has updated the eligibility list for receiving the third dose of vaccine. Those aged 50 and over are now able to receive a booster shot if it has been at least five months since they had the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
