As News4 told you previously, On August 10, 2016, at about 8:45 pm, emergency personnel located a body in a dumpster in the 400 block of McGee Street.

Police were able to identify the body as Garnet Walter Williams, aged 43 from Winnipeg. Police believed that the circumstances surrounding the death were suspicious in nature and the Homicide Unit continued to investigate.
Investigators were able to track the victims movements prior to his death and determined that on July 31, 2016, Williams, was in the company of a small group of people and went to a suite located in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue. A dispute erupted at which time Williams was seriously assaulted by multiple people.
The victim sustained critical injuries and was confined for a period of time. Several days after Williams died of his injuries his body was taken and dumped inside a nearby garbage bin.
Police made the following arrests on August 26, 2016:
Jeremy Lee Allen, 27 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with 1st Degree Murder due to his alleged involvement.
Miranda Nancy Declare, 32 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with Manslaughter due to her alleged involvement.
Lyle Barrow, 30 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with Manslaughter due to his alleged involvement.
Previously, Jennifer Kelly Hall, 25 years old of Winnipeg and a 56 year old male also of Winnipeg were arrested and charged for their alleged involvement with Indignity to a Human Body.
