459 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified since Saturday including 164 cases on Saturday, Nov 20, 159 cases on Sunday, Nov 21 and 136 cases Monday, Nov 22. Seven additional deaths were reported Monday
The current provincial COVID-19 test positivity rate is 5.7 per cent.
Of the cases identified in the province today, 68 are people who have not been vaccinated. Three have been partially vaccinated and 65 are people who are fully vaccinated
There are 1,528 active cases of COVID-19 in the province with 152 people hospitalized. 24 Manitobans are being treated in intensive care units
2,549 lab tests were taken yesterday. That brings the total number of COVID-19 tests completed in the province since February 2020 to 1,153,020
The total number of people who died from the virus in Manitoba is 1,292.
Outbreaks have been declared at:
- Manitoba Development Centre Lawnside unit in Portage la Prairie;
- Holy Family Home in Winnipeg;
- Grace Hospital 4 North surgery unit in Winnipeg;
- Village View Lodge assisted living in Plumas; and
- Country Meadow personal care home in Neepawa.
As of Thursday, November 25, 2021, the vaccine site at RBC Convention Centre will no longer be accepting walk-in appointments as they anticipated a high volume of appointments for youth.
As of 11:00 am on Monday November 22, more than 13,000 appointments have been booked for children aged 5 to 11. The province estimates that there are 125,000 children within this age group.
