Manitoba Justice reported on Thursday, January 20, 2022, that an inmate has died at Headingley Correctional Centre.
According to officials the death was a 36-year-old male and occurred on Wednesday January 19, 2022. The family has been notified of the death.
The cause of death and identity of the inmate have not been released due to privacy reasons says Manitoba Justice.
The death has been reported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as required by legislation.
