353 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths reported

Due to the Victoria Day long weekend the province has released limited information regarding COVID-19.

As of 9:30 am Monday, May 24 there are 353 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases now sits at 48,787.

The provincial test positivity rate now sits at 14.3 per cent. The test positivity rate for Winnipeg is unavailable.

Four deaths related to COVID-19 were reported through the provincial dashboard but additional information such as region or variant was unavailable. The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in Manitoba now sits at 1,033

There are currently 318 people in hospital due to the virus with 260 having active cases of COVID-19.

Currently in the ICU there are 74 people with the virus and 55 of those are considered to have active cases.

5,061 active cases were reported with 42,693 people listed as recovered.

2,973 tests were performed on Sunday bringing the total number of tests performed since February 2020 to 749,515.
