Barn destroyed by the blaze
A massive fire overnight destroyed a pig barn and killed 3500 hogs.
It happened just a few kilometres outside of New Bothwell, about 40 km south east of Winnipeg.
Emergency crews got the call around 9:30pm and spent much of the night containing the fire.
The cause of the blaze is unknown but investigators from the Office of the Fire Commissioner will be looking into it.
