Winnipeg Police have put a 35-year-old man behind bars after he allegedly robbed a pharmacy on Sherbrook Street and an apartment on Spence Street.
Police say that Peter Friesen from Winnipeg hopped the counter at the Shopper’s Drug Mart near Health Science Centre and stole a number of drugs after threatening employees that he had a gun. After robbing the store he took off on foot.
The Major Crimes unit investigated the incident and were able to identify Friesen. During the investigation police also determined that he had allegedly broken into a residential suite in the 500 block of Spence Street and stolen a large number of electronics.
Police arrested Friesen on September 5, 2017. He now is facing charges of robbery, break enter and theft and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He was detained in custody.
