COVID-19 enforcement officials say that the bulk of tickets issued last week (Dec 14 to 20) by officers were for individuals breaching public health orders by holding gatherings in private residences.
Of the 48 $1,296 tickets issued to individuals, 35 of them were for gatherings in private residences.
12 people were ticketed $298 for not wearing masks in public indoor places and two businesses were fined $5,000.
In total 62 tickets were issued and 283 warnings were given out.
