Manitoba has reported 3,265 new cases of COVID-19 today along with no additional deaths reported on Friday. The death toll remains at 1,408 in the province due to the virus.
Hospitalizations are also up with 297 people being treated for COVID-19 including 34 receiving treatment in ICU.
The provincial test positivity rate is at 44.4 per cent, in Winnipeg the test positivity rate is 52.6 per cent. 2,677 COVID-19 cases identified today are in people who are fully vaccinated according to provincial data.
There are currently 24,595 active cases in Manitoba
5,389 lab tests were taken yesterday. That brings the total number of COVID-19 tests completed in the province since February 2020 to 1,311,112.
Outbreaks have been declared at:
- Poseidon Care Centre in Winnipeg;
- Golden West Centennial Lodge in Winnipeg;
- Convalescent Home of Winnipeg;
- Kildonan Personal Care Centre in Winnipeg;
- River Park Gardens personal care home in Winnipeg;
- Concordia Place personal care home in Winnipeg;
- Lions Manor in Winnipeg;
- Tudor House personal care home in Selkirk;
- Sandy Lake personal care home in Sandy lake;
- Fairview personal care home in Brandon; and
- Hillcrest Place personal care home in Brandon.
