Just after 3:40 am Saturday, July 7, 2018 emergency crews responded to reports of three men being stabbed.
Police located the victims outside a nightclub in the 100 block of Princess Avenue, one was in critical condition, one in unstable condition the other in stable condition. All three men were transported to hospital.
Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit say that the victims had been at a private party within the nightclub when one of the victims got into an argument with a bouncer.
The man agreed to leave the establishment and was escorted outside by the bouncer. At this point, the bouncer allegedly pulled a knife out and began to stab the victim. The two other victims tried to help the first victim but they were also stabbed.
Two of the victims are still in hospital in stable condition.
A little more than 12 hours after the fight the suspect turned himself into police at the headquarters building.
Cezielk Nigel Wright, 37 from Winnipeg is facing three charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon.
He remains in custody.
