Late Saturday afternoon, March 21, 2020 Manitoba Public Health announced a 19th case of presumptive COVID-19 in the province.
Public health officials say that the case is a woman in her 30s who lives in Winnipeg. Initial indications are the case is related to travel.
Public health said in a release on Saturday that it is important for Manitobans to contact their health-care provider for regular medical care. They also note the importance of making sure children are up-to-date on their childhood immunizations. This will help reduce the risk of outbreaks of other communicable diseases during the pandemic.
Anyone concerned about possible exposure to COVID-19 should call Health-Links at 204-788-8200 or toll-free at 1-888-315-9257. The public is reminded that the COVID-19 testing sites require a referral and are not available for walk-in patients.
