Police looking for armed suspect

Just after 9:00pm on Thursday February 16, 2017 Police and Fire Paramedic crews responded to the area of Furby and Ellice. When they arrived they found a 19 year old male had been shot in the lower body. He was transported to hospital in critical condition.

Investigators learned that a group was confronted by a male suspect and robbed of personal items. During the robbery the suspect produced a gun and shot the victim. The suspect took off before police arrived on scene.

Police deployed the Tatical Support Team and the AVR-1 due to an armed suspect having fled the area.
