183 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in the province today. Three deaths were reported due to the virus:
- a male in his 60s from the Northern health region;
- a male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region; and
- a male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at Health Sciences Centre GD4.
The five-day test positivity rate is currently 5.3 per cent provincially and 5.4 per cent in Winnipeg.
The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is 35,992
Today’s cases are from the following health regions:
- seven cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region;
- 24 cases in the Northern health region;
- 12 cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region;
- 13 cases in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region; and
- 127 cases in the Winnipeg health region.
There are currently 1,630 active cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba with 33,404 people listed as recovered.
128 people are being treated in the hospital of which 58 are considered infectious. 32 people with the virus are in Intensive Care Units with 15 of them still considered infectious.

958 Manitobans have died since COVID-19 first arrived in the province.
2,828 tests were completed yesterday. Since the virus first arrived in February 2020, there have been 619,722 tests completed.
An outbreak has been declared at Russell Health Centre in Russell and Lions Prairie Manor Personal Care Home in Portage la Prairie.
