167 new cases of COVID-19 identified in the province on Monday and Tuesday. One case has been removed due to a data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 166. Four additional deaths reported due to the virus.
Those who died from COVID-19 are identified as:
- a male in his 60s from the Winnipeg health region;
- a male in his 70 from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at St. Boniface Hospital unit B5;
- a male in his 90s from the Winnipeg health region; and
- a female in her 90s from the Winnipeg health region.
The five-day test positivity rate is currently 5.9 per cent provincially and 4.5 per cent in Winnipeg.
The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is 30,932.
Today’s cases are from the following health regions:
- 13 cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region;
- 93 cases in the Northern health region;
- two case in the Prairie Mountain Health region;
- eight cases in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region; and
- 51 cases in the Winnipeg health region.
There are currently 1,625 active cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba with 28,432 people listed as recovered.
230 people are being treated in the hospital of which 86 are considered infectious. 26 people with the virus are in Intensive Care Units with 13 of them still considered infectious.
875 Manitobans have died since COVID-19 first arrived in the province.
1,390 tests were completed yesterday. Since the virus first arrived in February 2020, there have been 503,523 tests completed.
