15-year-old armed robber grabbed by store customers and held for police

A 15-year-old male is facing armed robbery and other charges after he was apprehended by customers of the store he was in the process of robbing.
The youth had robbed a store in the 400 block of Springfield Road on Thursday, September 14, 2017. He pointed a gun at the employee, jumped the counter, opened the cash register and was able to flee with some cash.
The next day around 7:30 pm the suspect attempted to knock over another convenience store this time in the 400 block of Edison Street. The youth demanded cash from a store employee but was thwarted by several customers who grabbed the suspect and held him until police arrived.
The robber is now facing robbery, armed robbery, disguise with intent, failing to comply with an undertaking by a judge/justice and a number of weapon offences.
He was detained in custody.
