Fifteen people were displaced early Friday morning after a Main Street hotel suffered significant water damage during a fire.
Crews were called to the three-sorey structure around 6:09 a.m. and when they arrived found smoke in the building. The fire was located in one of the suites but had been kept under control by the building’s sprinkler system.
Firefighters were able to quickly put out any hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team were brought in to help those who were displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
