15 new cases of COVID-19 identified on Labour Day

Manitoba Public Health announced there were 15 new cases of the virus on Monday, September 7, 2020. The total number of lab-confirmed cases stands at 1,338.

The five-day test positivity rate in Manitoba is 1.3 per cent

Six of the new cases are in the Prairie Mountain Health region, one new case in the Southern Health region, one new case in the Interlake-Eastern health region, seven cases in the Winnipeg Health region.

According to public health five of the cases announced today are related to close contacts.

There are 13 people being treated in hospital including three people in intensive care.

There are currently 412 active cases of COVID-19 in the province with 910 people listed as recovered.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 16.

596 laboratory tests were completed on Sunday. According to Manitoba Public Health, the total number of completed tests since early February is 146,064.
