15 new cases of COVID-19 identified, active cases drop to 287

Manitoba Public Health announced there were 15 new cases of the virus on Friday, September 11, 2020. The total number of lab-confirmed cases stands at 1,393.

The five-day test positivity rate in Manitoba is 1.4 per cent

Three new cases in the Southern Health region, four new cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region and eight cases in the Winnipeg Health region.

There are 12 people being treated in hospital including four people in intensive care.

There are currently 287 active cases of COVID-19 in the province with 160 of those in Winnipeg. 1,090 people listed as recovered.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 16.

1,457 laboratory tests were completed on Thursday. According to Manitoba Public Health, the total number of completed tests since early February is 151,807.

Public health officials are advising of a potential exposure to COVID-19 that may have occurred on Sept. 1 at the GRMC Vision Centre, 20-144 6th St., Brandon, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. The exposure risk is low, but those who visited this location at this time are asked to monitor for symptoms.
