Manitoba Public Health announced there were 18 new cases of the virus on Saturday, September 19, 2020. The total number of lab-confirmed cases stands at 1,558.
The five-day test positivity rate in Manitoba is 1.6 per cent
Two cases in the Southern Health region, three cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region and 13 cases in the Winnipeg Health region.
There are 10 people being treated in hospital including three people in intensive care.
There are currently 331 active cases of COVID-19 in the province 1,211 people listed as recovered.
The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 16.
1,488 laboratory tests were completed yesterday. According to Manitoba Public Health, the total number of completed tests since early February is 162,961.
Public Health says there has been a possible exposure of the virus at Gordon Bell High School in Winnipeg in both the morning and afternoon of Thursday September 17, 2020. Officials say that they have not identified any close contacts and no one is required to self-isolate.
Cleaning and disinfecting the areas used by the infected person will occur and those areas will not be used until it has been completed.
