13 net new cases identified in Manitoba, 360 cases active

Manitoba Public Health announced there were 15 new cases of the virus on Thursday, September 10, 2020. However, a case was removed as it was determined to be from out of province and a second case was removed due to duplication. The net number of new cases today is 13. The total number of lab-confirmed cases stands at 1,378.

The five-day test positivity rate in Manitoba is 1.2 per cent

Two new cases in the Southern Health region, two new cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region, two cases in the Interlake-Eastern Health region and nine cases in the Winnipeg Health region.

Public health says that today’s Winnipeg cases are linked to known contacts not related to any current outbreaks.

There are 11 people being treated in hospital including three people in intensive care.

There are currently 360 active cases of COVID-19 in the province with 1,002 people listed as recovered.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 16.

1,173 laboratory tests were completed on Wednesday. According to Manitoba Public Health, the total number of completed tests since early February is 150,350.

Manitoba Public Health advises that there are two potential COVID-19 exposures that may have occurred.

Sept. 1 to 3 at Lilac Resort (Trans-Canada Highway, Ste. Anne); and  Sept. 5, Air Canada flight AC 295 departing from Winnipeg to Vancouver (rows 19 to 25).

Public health advises that passengers in the affected seats should self-isolate for 14 days following the flight and monitor for symptoms.
