11 new cases of COVID-19, Prairie Mountain risk level to move to Caution

Manitoba Public Health announced there were 11 new cases of the virus on Thursday, September 17, 2020. The total number of lab-confirmed cases stands at 1,500.

The five-day test positivity rate in Manitoba is 1.7 per cent

Two cases in the Southern Health region, one case in the Prairie Mountain Health region and eight cases in the Winnipeg Health region.

There are 10 people being treated in hospital including two people in intensive care.

There are currently 293 active cases of COVID-19 in the province 1,191 people listed as recovered.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 16.

1,403 laboratory tests were completed on Wednesday. According to Manitoba Public Health, the total number of completed tests since early February is 160,109.

Beginning Friday the Prairie Mountain Health region Pandemic Response System risk level will be moved to Caution (Yellow).
