1 more case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, warning issued over a previous positive case

Manitoba Public Health announced on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, that there is one new case of COVID-19 identified in the province. The total number of lab-confirmed and probable cases is 325.

The case from today is a woman in her 20s from the Winnipeg health region.

There are no people with the virus in hospital

Currently, there are 18 active cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba 300 people have been listed as recovered.

The death toll from COVID-19 in Manitoba remains at seven.

 253 laboratory tests were performed on Monday, June 29, 2020, This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 63,309.

Manitoba Public health are asking people to self-monitor for symptoms and seek testing after one of the individuals announced positive on Monday, June 29, 2020, had been a passenger on three recent Air Canada flights. The flights they were on were Air Canada flight 295 from Winnipeg to Vancouver on June 18, 2020, in rows 15 to 19, Air Canada flight 122 from Vancouver to Toronto on June 21 and Air Canada flight 259 from Toronto to Winnipeg in rows 34 to 40 on June 23, 2020. 

Information about affected rows on Air Canada fight 122 is still in the process of being confirmed.

Public health says that the risk to others on the flights is considered low and is sharing the information to ensure people seek testing if symptoms develop.
