A Winnipeg Police Service patrol cruiser was involved in a collision at Main Street and Polson Avenue on Saturday, April 21, 2018, just after 1:00 pm.
Officers were responding to what police describe as a high priority weapons call with their emergency lights and sirens on when they collided with another vehicle and then crashed through the front of a building.
The two officers in the car were taken to hospital in stable condition. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital in unstable condition as a precaution.
Police said that no one in the building that was struck was hurt.
Southbound Main Street is closed between Inkster Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue while members of the Traffic Unit conduct an investigation and collision reconstruction.
It is expected that the road will be closed into the evening.
