Early Sunday June 18, 2017 a single vehicle collision claimed the life of two people in Portage la Prairie. It happened just before 2:30 am. The SUV was travelling west on Crescent Avenue at what police describe as a “high rate of speed” when it crossed the centre line and struck a tree.   Just before noon on June 16, 2017 RCMP from Brandon responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10 about a kilometre north of Provincial Road 353.
