The crime spree began Friday, June 23, 2017 and for the next 24 hours a Cross Lake man robbed or attempted to rob a number of Winnipeg businesses  around the city. Just after 9:30 pm on Wednesday June 14, 2017 police were called to the scene of a stabbing in the area of Oakland Avenue and Roman Street.
